Fixed tube plate heat exchanger

Fixed tube plate heat exchanger

In the fixed tube plate heat exchanger, fluids of different temperatures flow through the tube side and shell side, and heat exchange is completed through heat exchange. When the temperature difference between the two fluids is large, in order to avoid higher temperature difference stress, a compensation ring (expansion joint) is usually added at an appropriate position on the shell side. When the thermal expansion of the shell and the tube bundle is different, the compensation ring undergoes slow elastic deformation to compensate for the thermal expansion caused by temperature difference stress.

Composition and characteristics of fixed tube plate heat exchanger

Composition of fixed tube plate heat exchanger

 The fixed tube plate heat exchanger is composed of tube boxes, shells, tube sheets, tubes and other components. It has a compact structure, many rows of tubes, a large area under the same diameter, and is relatively simple to manufacture.

The structural feature of the fixed tube plate heat exchanger is that there is a tube bundle in the shell. The tubes are fixed on the tube plate at both ends of the tube bundle by welding or expansion joints. The tube plates at both ends are directly welded to the shell. The inlet and outlet pipes are directly welded to the shell. The outer circumference of the tube plate and the head flange are fastened with bolts. The inlet and outlet pipes of the tube side are directly welded to the head. A number of heat exchanger pipes are set in the tube bundle according to the length of the heat exchange tubes. baffle plate. The tube passes of this heat exchanger can be divided into any number of passes using partitions.

Characteristics of fixed tube plate heat exchanger

 The fixed tube plate heat exchanger has a simple structure, low manufacturing cost, and easy cleaning of the tube side. The tube side can be divided into multiple passes, and the shell side can also be divided into two passes. It has a wide range of specifications, so it is widely used in engineering. It is difficult to clean the shell side and should not be used for dirty or corrosive media. When the difference in expansion is large, an expansion joint can be installed on the shell to reduce the thermal stress caused by the temperature difference between the tube and the shell.

The characteristics of fixed tube plate heat exchanger are:

1. The bypass seepage is small

2. Forgings are used less and cost is low;

3. No internal leakage;

4. The heat transfer area is 20%~30% larger than that of floating head heat exchanger.

Fixed tube plate heat exchanger application scope:

A kind of process equipment commonly used in petroleum, chemical industry, petrochemical industry, metallurgy, electric power, light industry, food and other industries. In oil refining and chemical plants, heat exchangers account for about 40% of the total equipment and 30%-45% of the total investment. In recent years, with the development of energy-saving technology, the application fields have continued to expand, and the use of heat exchangers for high- and low-temperature heat energy recovery has brought significant economic benefits.

Materials for fixed tube plate heat exchangers

The shell material is carbon steel or stainless steel, and the heat exchange tube material is copper. Customized fixed tube plate heat exchangers with special materials, heat exchange areas and working pressure levels.

What is tube sheet layout?

What is tube sheet layout? A tube sheet is a component used in shell and tube heat exchangers and other types of heat transfer equipment. It is a flat plate with holes drilled in it, through which tubes are inserted and secured. The tube sheet serves as a barrier between the two fluids, allowing heat to be transferred from one to the other. The layout of the tube sheet depends on the design of the heat exchanger, which includes the number of tubes, the size of the tubes, and the spacing between the tubes. The layout is typically determined using computer-aided design (CAD) software, which can optimize the placement of the tubes to achieve the desired heat transfer performance. In general, the tubes are arranged in a triangular or square pattern on the tube sheet. The triangular pattern is often preferred because it provides better support for the tubes and reduces the risk of vibration and damage. The spacing between the tubes is also important, as it affects the flow rate and pressure

Finned tube bundle|Finned pipe bundle

1. What is a finned tube bundle? Finned tube bundle composed of multiple finned tubes arranged according to certain rules is called finned tube bundle. A finned tube heat exchanger can be composed of one or more finned tube bundles. 2. What is the composition of the finned tube bundle? Finned tube (multiple tubes): basic element of heat transfer. Tube box (header) or tube plate: the header, elbow or steel plate connecting the two ends of the fin tube. When the finned tube is connected with the header or tube sheet, the spacing between the finned tubes is fixed, and the tube box forms a continuous flow channel for the fluid in the tube. Frame: support and fix the whole finned tube bundle. 3. Finned tube bundle arrangement? In a  finned tubes bundle , the selection of fin tube arrangement is crucial. There are two types of arrangement: staggered and sequential. The so-called staggered arrangement refers to the cross arrangement of pipes in the air flow direction, while the in-line arran

What is heat exchange tube sheet?

What is heat exchange tube sheet? A heat exchange tube sheet is a component used in heat exchangers, which are devices that transfer heat from one fluid to another. The tube sheet is typically a flat, circular plate that separates the two fluid streams and contains holes through which the heat exchange tubes pass. The tubes are typically sealed into the tube sheet by welding or expansion, and the sheet is often made of materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, or titanium. The purpose of the tube sheet is to provide a rigid support structure for the heat exchange tubes and to ensure that the tubes are properly aligned and spaced for efficient heat transfer. The tube sheet also serves to contain the fluid streams and prevent them from mixing, which could reduce the efficiency of the heat exchange process. Tube sheets can be designed for various types of heat exchangers, such as shell and tube, double pipe, and plate heat exchangers. The design of the tube sheet is typically based
